New Airstrip for fly-in events near Settlers area

I hereby want to do re-search to know if there will be any interest if I establish a new fly-in venue on above farm. The farm is in the bushveld approx. 80 nm from Pretoria. I do not want to create a fancy thing. What I have in mind is to supply basic needs like tents to sleep over, Showers and toilets, lapa with kitchen, to supply drink and food, safe place to anchor your microlight and transport to move around on the farm ect.

If there is interest please contact me to give me with ideas to create a facility that we can enjoy.

Fly-in facility Settlers

I am definitely go ahead. I already clear a 350 x 50m strip. The airstrip is very sandy. We need to allow the ground to consolidate and allow the grass (kweek) to cover the area. I want to have facility ready not later than May 07.
I will update progress regulary with photo's.

Hoe ver is jy met jou airstrip? Ons Groblersdallers
en Marble Hallers soek altyd nuwe plekke waarheen ons
op 'n Saterdag of Sondag heen kan vlieg. Laat weet asb.
en waar is die beloofde foto's?

Ja Nico, die landings strook is klaar. Ek het hom so 150m langer gemaak. Die area is baie sanderig ek hoop dit reen gou om area mooi gelyk te maak. Ek het al paar keer daar gaan land sonder enige probleme. Ek sal koordinate en foto's plaas. Die plaas is 40km van Marblehall op die Settlers pad. Die stook is noord suid gemaak. Kontak my as julle beplan om daar te gaan land want area aan die noorde kant is baie los en ongelyk. Ek sal die area wat reg is binne die volgende twee weke uitmerk. Ek plaas solank 'n foto.

Ek het die stip 150m langer gemaak is nou 500m x 50m lank. Ek Die area is baie sanderig en los. Ek hoop dit reen gou sodat ek padskraper kan skuif om mooi gelyk te maak. Ek het al paar keer geland op die korter stook sonder enige probleme. Kontak my gerus so dat ek julle kan verduidelik watter area is nie geskik om te land nie (0832544131). Ek sal die koordinate ook vir julle deurgee.

Koordinate van "airstrip" S24 48 98 E28 57 93 hoogte 3210vbsv. Bel my as julle beplan om daarheen te vlieg. Ek bly in Pretoria en wil net met julle bespreek sodat julle nie dalk op verkeerde area land nie wat nog nie mooi voorberei is nie. Ek het nog nie windkous op nie is klaar gemaak, sal volgende week in plek wees.
