Well, It might be a bit late, but I went flying on Saturday the 15th. vhpy
I flew before my trike flight, with Len in his Gyro! It was awsome experiance... Thanks Len! (^^)
Then I flew in the trike. It started to drizzle as we taxied to the holding point, but we assesed it, and decide that it should be fine. It stopped soon as we did our Mag checks. We were doing my first nav and planned to fly to Wintervoegel and on to Morningstar. We flew to Wintervoegel and dodged some clouds on the way. We tehn turned and flew towards Morningstar. On the way the weather closed in on us, and it started to drizzle again! We assesed it, and decided to turn for home. We flew home, dodging the wx. We made it back, a bit wetter than we started.
It was a mis-judgement on our part, but we made it back, and have learned from that experiance and mistake. But on teh plus side... I passed my first nav!!! vhpy vhpy
After the weather cleared Louis and I went flying in the Sting! We flew to Morningstar and did two low fly pasts down the runway, before flying home. All I can say is WOW that Sting is FAST!!! It flies at 140 MPH without even sweating!! It also climbs like a homesick angel!! vhpy vhpy
Cheers,
Ross

Well, I logged 0.8 hours on Saturday. vhpy
We flew to Altona and did up-hill landings. There is a slight slope on one of the runways, so Louis taught me how to do it.
My first landing was cr@p as it was a new way of landing. My secpnd landing was better, and my 3rd and 4th landing were excellent, I landed better than I have ever landed at Altona! vhpy vhpy
My cousin also went for a demo flight with Louis for 1/2 an hour, Her 14th birthday present. She was nervous at first and on takeoff wasn't looking left or right. But she relaxed, and Louis even let her fly using the training bars! They even did a dead-stick landing, meaning that she was VERY relaxed. Louis also let Cath (My cousin) fly when they did a low-level over the runway! vhpy vhpy
I'll post pics later, when I upload them off my camera.
Cheers,

Yes Wargames: Altona only has one runway! But on the side that you fly over the road on your approch to land, there is a slight uphill slope.
Dirk and John: Don't worry, the pics will be here later! The camera, she weks!! vhpy

Thanks guys! Went to the field today, but didn't fly as the weather was cr@p.
The shoes were closed shoes, but only went up to below her ankle, so her ankles froze!
