Congratulations on the solo today. Mine was almost two years ago, how time flies when you are having fun.

Awesome feeling. My second time going solo. Went solo first time while doing ppl at 43 air school but stopped at 27.6 hours, changed to mpl on trikes. 43 air schools tradition your feet don't touch the ground after first solo, allowed to remove your shoes and anything that can get damaged while on the wing of the aircraft and carried from there and dumped into the swimming pool. Bloody cold at 8am in the middle of winter. Thanks for the replies guys. ($$) ($$) ($$) vhpy

Thanks for the words of encouragement guys. Things not going well at the moment. Soloed friday afternoon and crashed saturday morning. Out of action for next 6 weeks, 1 broken bone in wrist and broken bone in hand. Accident happened with instructor on board. Report in accident section by Larry McG. Trike also injured. :( :( :(

Eish Coastwise,

So sorry to read about your misshap.

I hope you will not let this put a damper onto your feelings for flying.

Get well soon and then get back in the saddle.

Kind regards,

Gunter Rostek.

Hey Coastwise, sorry to hear about the incident, hope you recover soon and fly high again.Im busy with my PPL at Rand airport, and that feeling of your 1st solo flight is burned in memory, which I will never forget my 1st flight on a trike, and solo flight, and then my 2nd solo flight on the PPL course.Take care!
Happy Landings!
