Dual transmit with a Chatterbox system

Postby ZULU1 » Wed Jul 24, 2013 12:28 pm

I am posting this under Training as the requirement for Dual transmit is for Instructors. All chatterboxes have this capability. Remove the 4 screws on the front face, inside is a small slide switch, this switch selects either dual or pilot transmit.

Simple !

Instructors ptts.jpg
I attach a picture of the twin PTT system that we have always made but also never told anyone. One ptt goes on the seat frame and the other is used as normal on the bar. It takes a standard ptt that we have always made. To install, remove the top cover, unscrew the pcb and remove the rj9 plug on the pcb and replace. The second PTT may be removed as may be the primary with a simple plug.
