First Training session!!!!

Postby Emiel Thysse » Tue Sep 25, 2012 12:34 pm

Hi All.

Finally it happend!!!! After all the kopkrap and kruiping gat by the wife!!!
And it only cost me a Yorkshire terrier!!!! lol.

Had my introduction flight on Sunday with Sharon in Ghrahamstown.
Got up at 05:00 to be there at 7:00. It was worth it. Much different to sit in the front seat!!! Almost sh!t my self but settled in quickly.
And for that 30 minutes that I had the opertunity to take control was heaven. But you all know that by now!!!
Did some level flying and a few turns, follow the road...

Darem nie n kopklap gehad nie.
I know ive got alot to learn and I cant wait!!!!!

Wach this space.

Good to see that you finally started, it was one of your biggest steps that Will change your entire life. The big thing to remember is to be patient and enjoy it ( quote from my instructors ) I'm almost on 20 hours and still shitting myself - van lekkerte. When I started I was told that this hobby has a black hole and all my money will just go into it and that my entire way of thinking will change, I can honestly say it did. Every morning 4h30 I will wake up and look at the weather, even when I'm driving I will look at the weather and look aground for good flying and landing spots. (^^)

Emiel, enjoy your training. I went solo last week. What a feeling. Do not go solo to quickly. Your instructor will know the right time. Enjoy its wonderful.

Ek moet se ek ervaar die micro family ook so. Jy en Gawiel moet dit geniet. Ek toets more op PPL, dan daarna moet ek ook 'n conversion doen op trikes en kan ek ZU-LUI vlieg wat ek by ZULU1 hierbo gekoop het... (^^)

Hi Emiel,

Thnx. Ran out of time and did not do the PPL test. Went well with the flying last week. Procedures & taxi ways changed. Hope to do the test next weekend. I can't weight to do my WS conversion to fly my own trike..

Hi Emille,

This is great news. vhpy

Realised now I forgot to respond to your last message  Call me if you havent got sorted?

Good luck with your training....your instructor knows best and you must now make like a sponge and ABSORB. (!!)
Over the next few months she/he will be giving you all the skills you need to be a safe pilot. Believe me, as frustrating as traning can be at times (get used to flying round in circles! )...when you get your licence you will definately miss the experience in the back!

When you are ready (do not be impatient) you will take to the sky on your first solo, a moment that I promise you will never forget. (^^)
Concentrate, do your best, and dont forget to have a jol doing it. (!!) vhpy

Best wishes,
