Cost of license for trike

Postby Morne » Wed Jan 26, 2011 5:25 pm

I cant find info anywhere on this.

What is a good flying school near west rand gauteng. Closest to Ruimsig.

And what is the cost now per hour?

Total cost to get license? (average cost. I know hours differ from person to person)

You can also try Johannesburg Microlight Academy with Marc and Roy Gregson, at Panorama..

My wife is still busy with her license, but I've been finished for the last 7 months.

Hi Morne :)

Did you come right with finding a school :?:

I never minded travelling to Circus and I live in Roodekrans, around the corner from Ruimsig :)

If you still considering, then I would suggest Jose at Circus,he is an awesome instructor and the friendly vibe is just awesome..ask Johan :)

If you have your own trike,it really helps alot cost wise...but other than that,I never minded paying..it was all worth it ##

Let me know where you flying,I would be happy to fly you over there one weekend..I am now based at Crosswinds in Tarlton :)

Have an shweet one :!:

Guys if I may revive an old-ish thread. I don't see the question really answered i.e. cost per hour for training at the moment? (Let's say for argument's sake the school's trike, not your own.

I am curious to know as I am contemplating the idea of going over to weightshift (I currently have a PPL 100+ hrs) but find it too expensive to hire& fly and staying current that way is a pain and I find I'm not enjoying the flying like I should because of the cost.

So, long story short, I'm pretty much asking the same question again: How much does the training cost per hour at say, Crosswinds? Would prefer it there as I live in Wilropark so also in the same area as Madman and Morne & Crosswinds will be perfect for me. No idea what hr/exam/test requirements will be for a PPL going to WCM? Anyway, I'll start a new post if there's not a lot of response as I have a few other questions regarding buying "shares", hangar & insurance cost etc.

Thanks
