First Training session!!!!

Hi All.
Its been a while.

I FINALLY DID IT!!!! After not flying for almost 3months!
Managed to do a few landings on my own!!! Power on aproach! Dual.
Not perfect every time. Still not solo ready but it gave me a big boost mentally.I was beginning to feel there was something wrong with me!
Also did emergency landings,"power off" and managed 1 or 2 of those on my own, offcourse with the help of my trainers advice over the headsets.

Then Sunday came.... bit more windy and more traffic, also had the radio now,and uhm ja it was a different story and I couldnt cope on doing the landings on my own again..bummer.
Im sure itll become better with practice but Ill make sure I dont have such a big break again before I fly!

Hoping my next post will even be more posative than this one!!!

I am very new to this and loving every moment,, have only 5 hours to date I share all those moments with you..... Having good instructors help I have two at ML,,,, what a good bunch of guys ........keep the posts coming at less it shows me someone out there is going through the same as I am ..... Lol

Moet se ek voel ook nou sommer beter. Klink my ek en jy is ewe ver (naby) ons einddoel. Het vanoggend die eerste keer regtig gevoel dat ek die landing onder beheer begin kry. In die verlede was dit naby maar daar was altyd net iets wat gekort het en ek kon nie vinger daarop sit nie. Ek het ook soos jy begin voel dinge wil nie in plek val nie. My geld begin opraak en die vliegure hoop op.
Vanoggend het alles net gekliek. Persoonlik dink ek dit was omdat ek vir die eerste keer werklik ontspan het terwyl ek gevlieg het. Ek het sommer net die circuits geniet.....!!! Ander kere was dit ook lekker maar ek wou te perfek land..
Ek hoop van harte dat my volgende les net n voortsetting sal wees van vanoggend. Dit is fantasties om skielik net iets reg te kry wat jy n week gelede gedink het nie vir jou beskore is nie.
Geniet en ontspan net. Enigste raad. Almal se dit maar niemand doen dit nie.

FIRST SOLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Morning all fellow aviators!
Yes it finally came together for me yesterday!!!

Did a one hour dual with Sharon ,my instructor.
All went ooooookaaaayy.... touch and gos.Good landing,bad landing,good landing...you get it .

Then did a pre solo flight check with Larry Mcgilliwie (die baas vannie plaas)
Did a few landings with him,not all good though.

He asked me to call Sharon on radio and he got out of the trike,and it was now my turn.
On take off I knew,JY MOET DIE DONERSE DENG NOU LAND PAPPIE!!!!
And i did!! Not a good landing, bounced the front wheel a bit, have to push that bar all the way forward!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wasnt as happy as I thought I would be, Think I try to do it perfect every time...
but it actually sunk in on my way home.And then my smile just grew bigger and bigger the more i thought about it!

Daar is nog baie om te leer,but I have respect for the trike and I try to always stick to the basics.
Now I need to build experiance.

17/6/2013 is a day ill never forget.

Congrats Ernie!! I will never forget my first solo on fixed wing!!

Sorry. Need to introduce myself here, hoping to start microlight training the week after next!! Super excited, haven't flown for over seven years when I was last busy doing ppl, had to stop due to circumstances, not the urge to get back into the air has just become to much!!! Reading all you guys posts just made the yearning more!!! So hopefully soon I shall be joining the ranks of student pilots.....
