Agreed with the above post. If you want to make a small fortune out of flying . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . you must start with a big one :!:

Just enjoy, remember most rich people did so by just doing the things they were prepared to do as a hobby because they had passion, don't lose the passion and a career can find you.

Otherwise it is just a job.

Fly Fly Fly

Postby David » Thu Mar 01, 2007 8:31 am

Well i the problem that i have is that to become a com pilot you need plenty of cash for all the convershions from prop to turbine ect,so i go for the instructor career all i wanna do is fly all day instead of sitting in a officewhat alot of the instructors do is they only fly and instruct for a hobby and a bit of extra cash,so ill still do the perment job thing!!
Thanks for everyones inputs!!!!!!! :D :D

Postby David » Wed Mar 28, 2007 11:22 am

Well i flew again this morning at 7:30 with Hans,we recaped on the low level flying at the Babsfontain airfield well ill say one thing it was supose to do low level flying but ended up doing touch and goes(oops) :? I have been told that my arm movments are to big!!!so its uuuup and ddoown
i am still abit rusty on the low level flying thing but i must admit the last few times i did it i started getting it right. My problem is that i am scared of the ground and such a low level and speed(100ft low level i can do perfectly) its the really low stuff that scares me :shock:Oh well its still dam fun :D :D

Did mine with Hans too, he's a funny guy...that flying 10cm above the ground without touching is challenging, apparently thats how the grass is cut and they get new students to do it

Enjoy it and b4 u know it u'll be thinking how did i struggle?

Hi Guys / Gals

Sorry to hi-jack this topic, but I'm also planning on starting my MPL this winter at Microland/Skyriders. I was wondering if anybody on the forum is directly involved with Skyriders and whether I could set up a meeting with them/you, to have a chat and go through the ins-and-outs....?

Ya these okes have the good life, fly two hours in the morning and the rest of the day....................................................................

They used to fly in the afternoons but not any more. Oom Hans is normally at the field all day doing repairs etc so you might catch him there.
