All done!!!

Postby CalvW » Mon Dec 29, 2008 4:22 pm

Hi guys
I thought I'd just let you know: after a 6month break, I have finally managed to complete my MPL license! I started in March 2008 and flew about 22hrs in two months. From June till Dec I relocated to JHB and took time out to get settled. After a brief 3 weeks back in my home town, and under the strict guidance of Mr LarryMcG, I did two solo cross-countries (4hrs total), my flight test and the radio course.

Thanks to Larry and the family for all the support, and especially for introducing me to this amazing sport. (^^) Shout out to Chris, Dave, Len and everyone else also - your advice and experiences have taught me so much. Finally, to the forum: you guys keep me inspired. Thanks and keep it up!

Now its time to explore the busy skies in and around Jozie (!!)

Thanks guys, its been a great experience! vhpy

Coastwise: Howzit boet. Yup, thats the next step. I'll be checking out the local airfields in the area and meeting the crowds first. Then will start to have a look for some good deals. Hopefully I'll have something fairly soon but I may just hire 'n fly for a little while and get to know the area first. How's the new "veloci-raptor" treating you?

Congrats!

It took me also a long time to finish my lisence. Personal problems and work obligations and ($$) ($$) ($$) . But everytime I saw an aerie passing by, I had the overwhelming desire to be in the air again, and soon.

And now I have withdrawal symptoms everyday that I don't fly (**) (**) . Hope you have many safe hours in the air. (^^) (^^) (^^)
