To the person who sent me Deon's number, I say thank you. I have not tried microlighting again since 1987 and had forgotten what absolute pleasure I derived from it. Although I have been threatening to buy a micro for about a year now, it took a flight that my wife went on with Sampie Ras, to galvanise me into doing something. I will contact Deon in mid January when business quietens down and we return from a recharge in Mozam. Phalaborwa offers great flying weather and beautiful scenery.

I have looked at many ads for planes on this forum and some seem to be in good condition at great value for money, eg. Hot Stuff with his Aquilla 503. Unfortunately he is seven hours away and I would also not know what to look for anyway. Are there not folk, eg insurance underwriters who also fly, who could give an unbiased, objective assesments of any planes to which prospective buyers cannot get to?
