congratulation with your medical. Can you tell me what you need and how its done? I mean is there a standard check list and the scores somebody has to have to pass the test.

It's a class 4 medical. Basically a lung function check, ECG( at rest) then a medical history - eye, hearing and colour blindness check. Nothing serious. Perhaps if you say in which area you need to get it done people can refer you to doctors in that area.
Nuts about Cheetahs. Petit is the place.

and if its your lung functions is a bit bad, the doc will ask for x-ray to see why that is so. My doc asked for x-ray before the examination. But that was a few year ago. Current doc didn't asked for it.

Stephan, are you allowed to do the test with both eyes open or you have to close them one by one and do the test?

Are corrective glasses also allowed for PPL?

Yes, they are allowable.

You will be placed into a category based on your eyesight eg the following:

i) Eyesight not that bad, but need lenses. - Have lenses on you all the time while flying.
ii) Eyesight worse than in (i) - Have lenses on you all the time, plus extra pair on aircraft.
iii) Eyesight worse than in (ii) - Have lenses on you all the time, plus extra pair within reach.

After that, youre are officially clasified as blind!! vhpy vhpy
