Solo!

Postby CalvW » Fri May 23, 2008 7:27 pm

vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy Hey guys, I went solo today! +-12hrs dual and with lots of good pep-talk from LarryMcG on the ground, I managed to land without a hassle 8) The weather was calm during the dual circuit sessions and the sun was creeping on the horizon. Larry then asks for a full stop landing and before I know it the cussion is strapped to the seat behind me, I'm staring down the runway and thinking "oh gosh, whats going to happen now...?" Full throttle and I'm up like a rocket

What a feeling! Big smiles all night, I can assure you

Hi Cal

Congrats (^^) (^^) (^^) (^^) .

Hope weather is fine for flying in Grahamstown Sunday, hope to try some flying after the missus leaves for Gabarone. Don't know what its going to be like with the messed up wrist and hand. Missus would have a fit if she knew my intentions.

Hey guys, thanks for all the kind words! I woke up early today and went to the airfield prepared for some more solo time. It was really great and I cant stop smiling vhpy such a good feeling. I managed to do about an hour this morning and only messed up on a "landing" once (a good learning experience I think  ) which was the first one I did. All the others were good 8)

Solo party scheduled for next week (^^) and I have to find a tie apparently. Wearing a tie to a microlighters party? hmmm very suspicious...

Coastwise: Thanks bud - good to hear you're still keen on sneaking in some flying time - even though its behind the 'ol ladies back and with a sore wrist  Dont give up! Weather has been great down here so come on over some time. Give us a shout if you do!
