Welcome to the forum!!

You can contact Russel Bird also on the forum or on oh eight three
261 4666.

He operates and trains on the Cheetah out of Circus airfield in the Henley area. Can also assist in purchasing one.

regards,
Greg

I would like to train in the Bapsfontein/petit/bronkhosrtspruit area if possible.

I will also give Russell Bird a call.

KW,

Unfortunately it is not always feasable for training schools to carry a huge variety of planes, they usually have an association with a manufacturer and train on that plane.

Are you looking at using the schools plane or your own. If the schools aircraft then only Springs and Russel have a Cheetah for training as far as I am aware

If your own, then talk to various schools in the baps area as to who has got an instructor rated on the plane.

BTW if you can't get trained on the Cheetah then there is no harm in getting your licence on another 3-axis and then doing a simple conversion afterwards. Then you will have two aeries on your licence 8)

Good luck

Thanks Morph

It seems like a good idea. I know of two schools in that are : microland and petit.

Any idea what 3-axis microland has? Contact details perhaps?

Microland (SkyRiders) don't do 3 axis. They do Aquilla and Raptor trikes.

Springs airfield (Airborne Sports) are training with an Oribi (Z236)- get hold of Fred Blokland.....

Rainbow aircraft also maufacturer the Cheetah at Springs airfield so it might be worth your while to take a look ....

Should be easy enough to get all conversions done at one place.

Best of both worlds. Training on a taillie will be well worth it when you do conversions to nose draggers. Landings will become a non event...

Hi KW... welcome. Rinus at Petite has sold his tallie Cheeta, but offers training on the Kitfox 4 (If you want to go the tallie route) Rinus is a Cheeta maestro, and the Petite school may be able to sort you out. They also offer training on an X-air (3-axis)

Give Rinus a call: 082 859 7165.

Good luck.
