I don't think this helps. The ATF for my SportStar which is registered as a light aircraft says exactly the same thing. When you apply for Registration, PFA and ATF, there is nowhere on the forms where you specify you would like the aircraft registered as microlight or light aircraft. Who decides...dunno.Fairy Flycatcher wrote:Have a look at your authority to fly. Question?
How do you know if aircraft is reg aircraft as ML? All mine just say NTSC? Where would I look?

The EuroStar (only one in SA at the moment) we had has 2 designators, X291 and Z"something". The X designator was given originally because I flew it with a PPL. Now it's flown by an MPL and their licence shows the Z designator. I have never asked CAA to change the aircraft from a light aircraft to a microlight. In addition, a "PPL" instructor converted the MPL pilot onto the type, which was acceptable to CAA.
