Mountain slopes - which side is warmer?

Postby Thunderboy » Mon Nov 27, 2006 1:54 pm

I was reading in Understanding the Skies that the southern side of mountains warm up more than the northern sides - still got a lot to get through and he might still elaborate but I was wondering...as the writer is American, would it be the opposite in the southern hemisphere?

Ya thunder - our northern slopes are warmer ;) Some times he points out the difference - other times he just rambles on as if we are all northerners - be wary to look out for those in the book.

What do you think of the book so far?

It's typical for them to forget about the southerners

Anyway just getting into the book - as I said he explains things well although you still need to be able to concentrate - but enjoying it, thanks
