The day has come, I did my first solo this morning at dawn here in Bloemfontein. What an amazing experience!
The feeling of freedom and an ability to move in three dimensions that can't be described. Can't wait to fly again! We have been hampered by the weather for microlight training here in the Free State since the end of the winter. Windy conditions with instability, even at first light, has been more the rule than the exception. This morning was perfect, quiet with thick air close to the ground and no potholes in the circuit. Could not have been better!
