Started my training.

Postby marco » Fri Sep 03, 2010 2:06 pm

Hi everyone,

I just started my MPL training and can't wait for the next lesson, only problem is this August/September winds are unforgiving :( Hope to get some flying in on Monday and the rest of the week. Training on a Aguilla 582 trike and loving it (!!)

Will be making a landing strip very soon on the farm where I work, then everyone's welcome to fly in for breakfast.

Fly safe
Marco

Hey Congrats Marco!!!

Best time to train actually, gets you ready for the unknown and lets you appreciate those calm days that much more... Good luck. (^^) (^^)

As for the farm, that sounds like an awesome plan where about is the farm?

Fly safe

Thanks Gary,

My thoughts exactly, learning to fly in a bit of wind and get it under the belt and not to get to confident in the calm afternoons and battle when its time to go solo and get some turbulence.

The farm is about 19km from Brits and 8km from Dikhololo. Just waiting for a pilot to come and have a look at the field and give me guidelines for making the airstrip.(length, direction ect.)

Yes as Tribal Croc said now the fun really begins....

So how did you feel? Trike feels rather different with only 1 up?

Well enjoy Marco

Hey Marco

Have you stopped grinning yet?

Don’t worry once you are on finals your training will kick in and you will ace the landing vhpy

Hey Marco,

The landings are actually a lot easier than you expect and I am sure you will ace it...just remember to float it as long as possible.

But most of all just enjoy it...we are a privileged few and must make the most out of every moment.

So next up is the touch and goes...round and round....even though they all say it gets boring I loved every minute of it...

Enjoy...

Like tribal Croc i also got my license recently, and guess what, still doing the topuch and goes! Speak to any experienced trike pilot, your tyraining really starts when you get your license! Hang in there, the first time you fly without being signed out is THE MOST MEMORABLE!

all in all, just enjoy the flying!

Congrats on the solo!
