When I started out in doing my NPL on weight shift trikes I was of the opinion that would be able to get up to 10 hours discount should I start with my PPL training after getting my NPL license.
I recently started with my PPL but now it seems that I'm not elligible for any hours discount, can somebody please clear the subject??
do i have to do the full 45 hours required for PPL?

I think its all from scratch (weight shift is different system to 3 axis). Maybe your radio licence will be accepted. You'll have to do PPL exams too. Check with CAA to confirm.

WSM to PPL i think max 10 hours credit + all exams. If you are unsure phone Pierre or Willem at RAASA they will help.

Re: Starting PPL after NPL/MPL
Correct. Just a bit more detail: For every 2 hours flown on non ppl license, you will receive a 1 hour credit towards ppl with maximum of 10 hours given. You will need to do all the exams as stated, because npl exams isn't caa rated.Pat Two wrote:WSM to PPL i think max 10 hours credit + all exams. This was the case in 2008/2009. Just confirm with caa. Raasa don't handle ppl license.
