Went flying yesterday. We did straight and level flight. It was absolutely fantastic. We also did some low level flying which I really enjoyed. Going again tomorrow when we will be doing turns. Can't wait!!!!!!!!

Who is your instructor?
I think Fanie was off in the Delmas direction on Monday morning with a student... normally the low flying area above the mielies.
Low flying is an essential part of instruction because it teaches you to be on the lookout all the time, keep the speed up and practice those small control inputs.
Enjoy every moment and keep us informed of your progress.

My first hour was with mervyn but the rest was with fanie.
This morning we practiced turns and then fanie explained the stall to me. The last ten minutes we then flew low level again, I abselutely loved it.
Tomorrow i will be practicing the stalls. I can't wait!!

Hi There
I trust you are well

I want to congratulate you firstly, then allow me to say that you must be careful not to try and fly to much, remember it is very intense stuff flying the first few times as it is new things and a lot of things you have never dealt with and then remember it all. your brain eats a massive amount of your energy and you get tired very fast. When you are tired, your concentration span becomes less and ultimately you don't learn.

please understand that I am not telling you what to do, just giving you my 5 cents worth ($$)

"relaxed environment is a learning environment"

Regards
Sout
PS: let me guess..........You can't think of anything els anymore"

Did mine also on Friday 26/02/2010 and always goes to Dr Phil Erasmus in Northmead Benoni. Find to be the cheapest at only R450.

Hey everyone
I had the best day. I Did my first solo!!!!!
What a feeling. The wind was blowing quite a bit but it was still so awesome.
It's amazing how fast the plane climbs and how effortless the controls are only one up.
Can't wait for thursday to fly some more.
