Thanks....I have made an appointment at a school not too far from me. Will go and see them the 2nd week in July and speak to the instructor. I do understand that the first few hours of every two week session would have to be spent going over what I did the previous time. One more problem to overcome....must convince the wife that this is what she wants and is her idea….possible solutions...sweet talk....blackmail ...bribe…wine and dine...promise her a boob lift (this could be dangerous...can already hear her... “what’s wrong with mine”... “are you not happy with me anymore”...bla..bla..bla…this would also leave me with less cash for lessons)...just don’t tell her when I am on vacation and spend the two weeks at the school (this is my first choice if I had one)....lie...tell her I am taking marriage counseling to be a better husband for her and that it will take +/- 30 hours....divorce (then move into hanger and live happily ever after)…Turn her into an alcoholic then she would not know I was not there….Get the kids to drive her crazy and have her committed .....all of the above…Any advise on this.

I can not do this here as there is no flying training of any sort in Kuwait.

Ps: Why has nobody started a discussion on “How to convince the wife” It would have made it easy for me….copy….paste…type.. “I am going to miss you Honey” …push send mail.

Man! Do you have the right attitude to start of with.My wife had 4 horses on the farm and that is one expensive piece of animal to keep alive. So I made a comparative study and proved 2 horses equals 1 microlight and in order to balance things I will go forth and buy myself 2 microlights, 1x WSC and 1x 3 axis. One helluva argument ensued and I finally "backed off "and agreed to only 1 WSC. Thinking she was on the "winning side" she agreed. But there are various other stratagies to achieve the desired results. I was lucky in a sense that at the time she already had an affair with her boss and now I have total freedom to fly whenever I want to.(One word of advice: NEVER sugest the boobop thing. Let her do it and if she does your first words should be " it really is'nt neccessary honey, but if that will make you happy it will be a small price to pay" then memorise the last sentence as you will throw it right back to her when the microlight argument starts!)

If all goes well then getting my own ML would be the next step. I can already see the add that I would have to place.

Wanted…Microlight Trike to swap for wife.

Details of Wife:
1973 Model - Blond
Excellent Condition…(only used every 3 months for 2 weeks)
Hangered on private farm
Only one owner
Very experienced in getting beer, washing car, cutting grass
Low maintenance
Extras
Can change light bulbs by herself
Has her own lawnmower
Comes complete with shoes

Any microlight will be considered.

I will update you once I have been to the flying school.....

And this morning at 7 it happened!. Was bit nervous taxiing to the holding point. But when I said "Vereeniging traffic, microlight whiskey mike foxtrot entering zero three for an immediate roll" it was like a total calm took over and when I felt in total control. And all went perfect. The take off was a bit like a rocket without the instructors weight, but the landing without the extra weight could not have been better. On the downwind leg the reponsibility of what I was doing dawned on me , but that only focused my mind more .

And now the real learning starts and will never stop. Thank to Bossi Bosman, my instructor. Not only did he teach me to fly, but he tought me to do it safe. And to Russel Beard for taking the time and effort to come out for my solo test.

WHAT A FEELING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
