What's "AD" mean

What's "AD" mean

Looking through my Avimap frequency chart, I see a few references to "AD", eg Bethlehem has "high ground West of AD" and De Aar has "blasting South of AD".

What is it please?

Under correction IIRC it is Aero Drome ie. Da AIRPORT....

Eish and there's me thinking it's some deeply technical term.

But if it mean's "Da Airport" it should be DA then surely.... :mrgreen:
