Postby ZULU1 » Sun Oct 05, 2008 1:25 pm

We have just started production of a new series of leather covered helmets, available in any combination of leather colours, embroidered design to suit your flying/forum handle, available with a matching golf shirt, fleece pull over, cap with a car sticker. The bib is also Leather covered and available with shaded or clear visors and for Gyros without the bib. Also for open cockpit aircraft without the visor. These feature a attached goggle strap.

The headsets attached to the Helmet are available in our Chatterbox series, mikro series which by means of our adaptors can interface with the Filser panel mounts and GA intercoms by a twin GA adaptor, the MT03 6 way Binder plug adaptor and also the Lynx/Micro avionics range. In either the rechargeable or "sport" which takes Li Ions and alleviates charging. All types work with a powered interface. The headsets incorporate our latest noise reduction technology and Military spec noise cancelling speech and mic elements. by purchase of various adaptor plugs may be used in various environments.

Hiya Sukkelaar

Depends on your headsets, we have stopped making "helmet only" helmets and are focused on headset attached to the helmet. All helmets supplied with visors / bibs attached and supplied with a draw string tog bag. Unless otherwise requested.

Standard Helmet R1,350.00

Shaded Visor add R 295,00

Fixing kit for other headsets (Buzzcom etc) we advise full instructions on drilling details add R100,00

Leather option with leather covered bib and allowing a embroidered logo maximum 80 mm wide (wont fit else) and a choice of panel colours and layout as per your design. Three panels and bib. We use the best Pakistan sourced Goat Nappa leather for this. We can also cover with Ostrich skin, Springbok hide etc. at a "price on request"'

I would need your logo and name in jpeg and send embroidery detailfor approval before manufacture.

Add R800,00 per helmet

Cheers Paul

Hi Paul,
I am using your eqipment at the moment and am very happy. What I would like to know is, if flying on differant equipment is there a possibility to use one helmet, and have various attachments to link to the differant radio's and intercom systems.
For example your helmet interfaced with air magic, linx, buzz com and speak eze. (**)
Cheers.

Good Day Chaps

Solo in the Cape has a sample to try on. PM him on this forum..

Orville, I like your Avatar very good...Glad you are satisfied with the helmet.

We are making a range now which is intended for export, this is directly compatible with the UK Lynx series, much lighter in weight and also slimmer in headcup shape. This will interface with the twin jack adaptors for GA, helis, NATO and also the single Speakease intercoms. We make the matching intercoms as well for them, so ideal if you have a built in Buzcom unit and wish to change at a later stage to any other type. We will most probably look at an adaptor for the SAAF helis as we intend making a similar set up for the Mountain Rescue teams. These are for two radios.

Our Chatterbox we designed from the outset to "Just work" and never intended to make them compatible, but if necessary we can make adaptors on request. At this stage we have never done this project but it will interface with our miKro series very easily. So the answer is yes we can do so.

Enjoy the festive season and fly safely.

Cheers Paul and Melanie

Just take note that when going to see Zulu1, you will spend hours in the workshop staring at all the nice toys. You won't go wrong with Air Magic systems. They are amazing.

Thanks again Paul. I still do not have my plane ready but can not wait to use my new system.

Piet, This will be called the Eagle, specifically designed for high speed trikes and Gyros, they are double insulated to allow the pax in a Gyro to have some hearing left. Quite a mission to get right which we are almost there. They will have a neoprene "chin" under the bib and also a built in ally crash bar to prevent frontal injuries. The main design feature is they will accept a standard visor. Tricky to leather cover though. All will be Carbon kevlar.

We are not changing our existing range at all !
