SONEX, WAIEX, XENOS and ONEX @ Aerospace WorX cc

Postby ncooper » Thu May 31, 2012 3:04 pm

Dear Fellow Aviators

I am pleased to announce the establishment of Aerospace WorX cc as a Volume Discounts Company (VDC) to market Sonex LLC products, which include the Sonex, Waiex, Xenos and the latest addition, Onex metal kit aircraft. Sonex LLC also manufactures the cost effective, but robust AeroVee 80hp engine, suitable for a wide range of kit aircraft manufactured in South Africa, at the fraction of the cost of other power plants.

These exiting aircraft models serve a wide spectrum of the Light Sport Aviation and Soaring community. All aircraft are rated for aerobatics. John Monnett, the founder of Sonex LLC, commented that not everyone is up for aerobatics, but it is good to know you have the strength built into your aircraft.

The VDC concept offers discounts on volume orders placed through Aerospace WorX cc that ship together. As from October 2012, Aerospace WorX cc will also offer builder assistance services to get you flying in the shortest possible timeframe. Existing Sonex/Waiex owners in South Africa may also benefit from Aerospace WorX cc‘s services when ordering sections or parts for their aircraft.

For more information on Sonex LLC’s models, visit http://www.sonexaircraft.com.
For further information on Aerospace WorX cc’s services, contact Neil Cooper on 083 294 3537.

Where are you based? Up to this point, the only gripe I have had with the AeroVee, is the extreme cost of shipping spares from the manufacturer.

Based in Cape Town, Durbanville. Regarding the AeroVee engine and cost of parts, the whole idea is to save cost on volumes import. Depending on demand, one may at a later stage consider to keep parts in stock for the local market.

Let's see.

Hi Neil, You may also want to register on Avcom. There are a couple of Sonex and Onex builders there, and there was a lot of interest expressed on the Onex thread.

Hi "Mic"

The concept is volume orders. If SA orders go through the VDC (Aerospace WorX), there is savings in shipment (more kits in a single container). There are some discounts from Sonex for SA orders that ship together. (Please note that there is no mark-up on any of the Sonex products by Aerospace WorX.) Dealing with a local company also save you the hassle of importation red-tape.

As mentioned before, as from October 2012, Aerospace WorX will offer professional builder assistance to clients to have any Sonex product in the air in less time. This includes the AeroVee engine.

PM or phone me if you need more information or costings for a complete Onex.

Regards
