The Starcom1 helmet headsets suit full & open face helmets. The boom microphone is designed to fix inside the helmet lining. Designed to be used with open face helmets, the Speakers used for all Tecstar headsets are no ordinary speakers. The speaker itself provides class leading frequency response, power output and compact size. This results in a comfortable fit helmet speaker that provides an impressive bass response making for excellent stereo audio quality and clear and natural speech. The output power allows for loud music and speech through ear plugs and the helmet lining.. The boom is a strong bend and stay construction with a simple mounting, a flat rubber spade end to the mic which is pushed behind the helmet lining to provide a simple and sturdy fit.

CREW HEADSET
The crew headset is designed for a variety of uses including pit lane crews, open top cars, trikes etc. It is based around a lightweight ear defender designed for outdoor use, it provides 30dB noise protection at 1kHz. The speakers are the same as the Full Face set. The boom is a strong bend and stay construction. Two levels of wind protection are provided, the standard foam will protect the microphone from moderate wind and noise levels while the secondary foam will give the ultimate protection for high noise applications.

The Helmet headset retails for R 480.00 while the CREW HEADSETS retail for R1235.00.
(when purchasing a unit and CREW headsets are purchased, credit of R960.00 is applied to the unit cost).

For the pilots flying multi-seat aircraft, the Starcom1 system can provide communication channels to the passengers in the rear. This can be achieved either by loudspeaker or by each passenger wearing a Crew-Headset. Dedicated bulk-head fittings keep things nice and tidy and, as the system is a modular plug and play, it's a simple case of plugging in a couple of cables. Starcom1 will give you crystal clear, stereo communications between all passengers, irrespective of noise levels in or ooutside the aircraft.

Hi,

The Advance unit, including the press to talk, radio interface cable, audio cable and two (in helmet) headsets retails for R4300.00
The Digital unit including the press to talk, radio interface cable, audio cable and two (in helmet) headsets retails for R5520.00.

Should you prefer the crew-headsets, we credit the above costs with R960.00. The CREW-Headsets are then R1235.00 each.

We also supply a series of fantastically comfortable helmets into which the original headsets can be installed. These retail between R750 and R950. (will post pictures today)

Installation costs R350.00 and we currently have installation centres in Alberton, the East Rand and the Western Cape. Installation can be done by the user and the kit includes self-installtion instructions, fitting kit and manual.

Drop me a line and we can discuss the specific application and provide a quotation.

Regards

Lawrence

The final option is the APACHE. In Matt Silver or Black, the APACHE is extremely popular due to the extra long visor which gives almost full-face protection. The APACHE retails for R 1100 incl vat and delivery.

Sadly no, the headsets that fit to the helmets use a 7-pin connector, although I will investigate if we can manufacture a junction box which converts and lets you plug the helmet into your Buzzcom system.

Cheers
