Aviasport dual EGT temp sensors?

Postby nealet » Mon Feb 23, 2009 10:07 am

Can anyone tell me where I can find spares for an Aviasport dual EGT gauge? It is for a Rotax 582 with scewed in K type thermocouples (I think?). One of my channels has stopped working. I think I may need another sensor (maybe two?)
Thanks

I recently ordered a set from Aviation engines. They did not have stock but imported a set for me.

Google "Thermocouples" and you will find several local companies that manufacture and import J and K types. There is a company in Eastleigh Edenvale that tell me that they supply Aviation Engines. If you take them a sample they will make one for you.

He'll make any thermocouple (EGT) probe you want. He's in the JHB area.
Airspeed, altitude, or brains....you always need at least two

Hi All
Thankyou to Larry, tandemtod1 and Duck Rogers for your responses. I did find a local crowd who would make me up a thrmocouple for about 60% of the price of the local supplier, but I will try "Duck Rogers" contact as well. What has transpired since then is that a bit of "tweaking" the offending sensor has got it working again! But I will keep in mind the contscts given.
Thankyou very much indeed!
Neale
