"Short Block"582

What is a "short block" 582? Are there "long blocks"? Obviously this refers to types of Rotax 582's.

Cheers,

A 'short block' is typically everything between the sump and the cylinder head (crank, crank case, cylinders, pistons, etc.).

A long block is basically a complete engine (excluding ancillaries like carb, alternator, etc).
