I know this topic was raised once to many, but pleeaase..........

Everyone I know changed from Super Chainsaw to Super Outboard and adviced me to do the same......DADELIK.
Why??
Does Super Chainsaw cause rings to get sticky and carbon ?
Please don`t give me all the technical details as it will only confuse me even more (I did read the technical site refered to on this forum ($$) )
All I would like to know is which 2 stroke oil must I use in my 503; Super Chainsaw or Super Outboard and why.

Thanks for all the input on this forum.

Super Chainsaw is recomended for the 503, because it is designed to handle the much higher operating temps of an aircooled motor. Super Outboard is designed for use in a watercooled motor, i.e. 582. There is a significant difference in the engine temps

CHT
503 180 to 220 deg C
582 110 to 130 Deg C

However that said, My 503 ran on Super Outboard for 200 hours by the previous owner.

What is considered a problem with carbon buildup. I dekoked my 503 for the first time at 500 hours? Is this a problem or do you expect the engine to run it's full life without a decoke.

Hours 1 to 200 no idea what oil was used. 200 to 440 Super Outboard, 440 to 600 Super Chainsaw

BTW decoking the motor is piss easy to do, just takes a bit of time so what's the big issue

Most Guys in the Eastern Cape use Castrol Super outboard. Decokes show very good, clean results. Better corrosion prevention.

ditto on the decoke - on my 582 300hr overhaul (bad old days vhpy ) the carbon build up was minimal :!:

You just need head gaskets, the aluminium gaskets that go between the sleeve and the crank case, and the inlet and exhaust gaskets. Then about R200.
