Avionic Power supply

Postby Chris Liebenberg » Tue Apr 08, 2008 3:06 pm

Maybe this tpoic was raised before I discovered Microlighters, but I need to know what equipment can I install to prevent noise on my radio / intercomm system.

I have a Flightcom 403 MC intercom with iCom A4 radio.

The intercom installtion brochure mentions something of an avionic power bus??? What is that?

Hi Chris
A power bus is a means of distributing power on a system.
On my Bushbaby I used those electrical connector strips, available at any hardware store to make my positive and negative busses. Each connector is linked on one side by insulated wire loops.
Here is a simple drawing of my DC electrical system,

Thanks Mogas.

I still have a problem with with the Avionics Bus that my Flightcom intercom brochure refers to.

To me it seems as if it is some sort of power filter that needs to be installed to remove noise from the DC power going to avioninc devices.

I cant get hold of Mr Paul Lintott. Phone just ringinggggggggggggggggggg
