A 503 gets you as quickly to your destination as a 582 (barring GT's).
That is if you are (below average boep) as mentioned. Almost same consumption, bitt of a lower climb-rate but certainly (also mentioned)less maintenance to worry about. At 73 kg I am happy with 503 at altitude, but when looking at 90+kg pilot weight plus pax of same weight, consider 582. 582 should make it more than safe for coast flying and ample for density altitude inland.
Your mention of Bloem and counting game would make me opt for 582 certainly. Them game-farmers are not light blokes and you would be asked to circle tight at altitude. Definetely 582 with slow wing!
Their next question is going to be: "Can I take my 30-06 rifle with to shoot the jackal !". Absolute NO !
Rifle needs a bag to catch spent artridge !
No shooting to the left as discharge will vacuum the carbs !
