BA,

How is the performance with the nose cone & fairing ?

I'm actually considering building a fairing, I had good practice when I crashed my bike and had to rebuild the fairing. That was over 14 years ago.

The nice thing about a fairing there is more space on the instrument panel to mount a GPS and other toys than on a Banana pod.

I like this fairing

Do not want a nose cone, only a fairing to keep the torre out of my face. Is "loose" fairings" available ?

If you have torre in your face you're flying too low, torre generally dont go higher than 100ft AGL. I am also looking at building a fairing for my windlass - got an old winlass fairing in my garage but is not quite what I had in mind. I will probably try to adapt it to my liking. I think "Straydog is on his way from Grahamstown with an Air creation fairing that needs repair so I dont know when I will get time to build mine.

Have encountered torre (Miskruiers) at 5000ft AGL. Seems that torre are among insects that fly high when travelling long distances.
