If you click on the posted attachment button you get this so you can see how many you have posted. Also at any time you can click on the edit button, top right of your post and edit/add/remove things

Please excuse the next q as i'm not very good with Pc's etc.
I use photobucket to store photos. On my posting, i move the cursor to where i want the photo and place a [img] there. I go to photo bucket and click on the "img" that i want and right click it next to my [img] on my posting. This leaves a "address" inbetween the]img]address [img]. If anyone opens the posting it calls up the photo from photobucket.
Is the above more or less how this works and will this save space on the Micro lighters server, in other words no pictures stored in the server.

when you post a photo on photo bucket copy the url or address for the photo using CTRL-C

Next two ways
1. in the post here type CTRL-V to paste the address. Then using your mouse click and drag the cursor over the selection and click on the URL button above

2. Paste your address in. Then at the beginning of the line insert . The / is important and there must be no spaces between the i.e.

Cool, this is how i do it and it works like a bomb.
Does this save space on the ML"s server,ie no photo on the server.

Am i correct (or not) in saying that if Joe Soap opens the posting on ML's, that Url will "fetch" the photo from say "photobucket" and therefore saving bandwidth for ML"s as the photo is not on the ML's site itself.

You are right it does save space on our server. However if Photo bucket is slow then you are going to get that dreaded little red X

Either way is fine by us.

I think posting photos off the site will affect the guys on dialup more so than on adsl. I very seldom get the little x these days, since moving to dsl. The adsl DSLAM is next to my desk at work and i have to put my mits inside it when is pops due to lighting etc.I think the method i'm using eats up Joe Soaps Cap but someone has to pay for the pleasure, therefore reducing the costs on the server side.
