What petrol?

What grade petrol is used in the Cubbies with the VW engines? The reason why I am asking this question: With the last VW engine I was supplied, came stickers, claiming that: "THIS ENGINE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR UNLEADED PETROL". By the time the engine installation was completed, "leaded" petrol was no longer available. So I tried unleaded petrol in my Softness`s Volla. Lo and behold, it is TROUBLESOME. (`63 model 1100cc Beetle). It keeps on clogging the plugs up. I tried "lead replacement". Even worse. The exhaust valves became STUCK.
I phoned the engine builder / supplier. "Oh, NO problem" he said, "just use unleaded petrol. It will not cause problems." When asked about the stickers, the lies just carried on..........

Hallo Superboet

95 oktaan "unleaded" werk redelik goed. Alternatief is Avgas.

Hello Boet!
Abe.
