Garmin pilot 3 need help

Postby MidlifeCrisis » Mon Sep 03, 2007 9:27 am

I have a Garmin piolt 3, the problem is it switches itself off during flight, it does not matter if you are on external or battery power it does the same thing.

If you restart it will stay on and then later switch off again, can anyone help or direct me to someone in the Cape town area who works on this product.

Thanks.

Will do this if external power supply is inop.

Check the external power supply – tiny pins – be careful not to expand them. On the other hand, they might be enlarged already.

Also a “dinky” fuse in power line to GPS – don’t up rate fuse – rather find the cause if blown.
