broken propellor

I have damaged one blade on my brolga 4 blade, carbon fibre propellor on my trike. I think a stone was sucked into it and smashed a leading edge over 5 centimetres. What is the correct way to replace a blade? Do you need to swing it, balance it or do anything like that? Or is it enough to screw in the replacement?

Just replace the broken blade that should be fine. Just make sure it is balanced before mounting it back on the motor.

The old blades should have the weight serial number and length engraved.
You need to get a new blade matching the average weight.

To what extent do the stainless egdes affect the aerofoil or efficiency of the prop?
