"You should always put a "sigarette filter" in your fuel-takeoff points". Now what has a fuel pipe have to do with sigarettes? The shape bru. Before screwing in the hose-barb fittings, make two rolled sieves, and solder it to the inside of the hose-barb. This way you will ensure that one piece of debris does not block your total fuel flo, ever. It is very unlikely that all thse hundreds of holes in a sieve will block all at once.
I roll the sieve around the shaft of a screwdriver. Works best. :D
