Ok, here I go again, Striped the next plane and now need help to re assemble it.
I need to re do the wiring on the mag switches. I fitted new switches and just wane make sure that I wired it correct. Please help with a diagram. Does anyone know if it is the negative or the positive power line that is switched threw these switches?

Ben, what engine are you referring to?

Rule number one - if you take it apart you had better remember how to put it back together again!
Seriously Bennie - my advice (for what its worth) would be to get a person that really knows what they are doing to physically be there to help you. I would not just rely on a diagram to fix this problem. Don't mess around when it comes to squiggly amp thingies!

The remember part I'm not that good with but I do know a little bit of reading diagrams.

I thought I might be telling you how to suck eggs

Just don't want to see another statistic that's all!

Rule of thumb for mags. If everything is disconnected engine should run. So if some wire breaks the engine will still run and you will only be able to stop it by flooding it or starving it of fuel

Here you go,
The mag switches just connect between the ignition system and earth when 'OFF'. When 'ON' the earth is removed.
BTW if for some reason you start the motor and the mag switches don't kill the ignition use the choke/enricher. This is the only other way to kill the motor except for waiting for it to run out of fuel.

As I understand it the mag switch when off earths the coil preventing it from being able to be energised. An intermittend misfire can sometimes be caused by this earthing wire being chaffed through and shorting to earth.

Doesn't wanne download Morph. But it makes sense to short the mags to earth if you do want to kill the motor.

Simple Bennie....the mag wires are not a negative or a positive power line.
They're simply "wires" The ones from the engine go to the one side of the switches and the other side of the switch is run to ground. (individually, of course)
In the "on" position, the mag wires go nowhere. In the "off" position, they're switched to ground.
