582 WATER PROBLEM, NEED HELP

Hi all ! :) Need some help, advise with a water / coolant problem.
I bought a 2’nd hand 582 a couple of moths ago, and had no problem
with water or temp or any thing, decided a couple of weeks ago to
replace some fuel and water pipes, and some of the water leaked
out. To replace the water, I took the advise of an earlier post, and
used distilled water with 25% coolant, and topped the system up.
Started the engine and let it come on temp, switched off and let it
Cool down, toped it up again to make sure it’s full, and left the hanger.
2 or so days later, I visited the hanger and found a puddle of water
underneath the radiators, overflow pipe, lifted the radiator cap to top up,
and more water poured out, the system was under pressure. Repeated the
same steps and every time the system was under pressure a day later.
Decided that the new and old water makes a chemical reaction,
And drained all the water and replaced with distilled water and
25% coolant, but it still happens. There is no pressure after
the engine has ran, but only a day later. What to do ??

Jaco.......have you sorted this out yet? What about the info I sent you?

For those wanting to know....I suggested to Jaco that he may have air in the system. He's probably getting a build up of steam in the system which is causing the pressure.

Water pressure

Hi all. Thanx for the info, Duck. I bleeded the system as you sugested,
added some water, it again pushed some out, and i desided not to add
any more water, made 3 flights last week, and the temp stays between
70 & 80. So it seems that the cooling system is happy and does'nt want
more water.

Thank you ....

Did a flight to Springs yesterday and on returning found that water was leaking from the overflow.

There was no water in the reservoir  although the engine was running at normal temp 60-70 during the flight, on top-up it took about a 3/4 liter and after doing some gound runs more water from the overflow and temp normal.

After some speculation with the guys I decided to change the rubber seals and o-ring seals on the cylinder head  - the system may be under pressure from the cylinder pressure due to the seals that went.

Bleeded the system and restarted - engine running at normal temp 60-70 but same problem

Before stripping the engine again any other suggestions :?:

The only other problem, the pressure cap :?: and probably the obvious one
