Hi to all,

wonder if any one can help,

I've got a standard windlass trike, and did a convertion on the rear suspension from a rugged to n bungee cord suspension. Now i want to do the front, got all the spares ( wishbones, u-bar) and drawing fom solo wings, but can not figure out what/how to do it.

Aden from solo wings suggests looking at a trike with the conversion all ready done, or some pics, or to send the whole front end to durban.

Any suggestions ??

Hi Jaco,
I've got a standard Windlass with solid axles too. Is the mod worth doing? How much did it cost you?
From what I recall the front suspension is a u-bar that fits around the front wheel with springs - U-bar pivot on the current axle mounting point. If you press the trike down the U-bar goes down too.
Thanks!

Hi
Thanx for the info, :D This gives me a better idea of how this works. The u-bar and two wishbones cost me R515 from solowings, and i recon the bolts and springs can not be to much .... During my training i flew both a rugged and bungee suspention 503 trike, and in my oppinion it makes a big difference.

I've got a 582 now and believe it would help alot on our home strip since it is gravel. Now i wonder how long and how "strong" those springs needs to be ....

Jaco could you post some pictures of the rear suspension mod you did? Where did you get the parts for the mod? Is it a Solowings mod ?
