Trike with a tail?

Being a novice and not too technically minded, I was thinking.....
I fly my trike, and one of the major issues is flying crosswinds. NOW, if my trike had a tail like a 3- axis, I would be able to trim my trike and not have an issue. ( I am not a PPL so my knowledge of tails are limited).
Other than the obvious problems i.e. weight at the back, extra weight, prop in the way etc... why is there no tail on my Aquilla?
Any Comments
Thanks.

`Cause it is a TRIKE, and rudders are for boats. Go sit quietly in the corner, untill the urge has subsided.......

Some Manufactureres added a fin to the wings (eg Mainair) in the past, this trend seems to waning and i guess the wing designers realised its not worth the extra effort/cost to make, and also trend now switched to "wheel fins' on the rear wheels to provide directional stability to the trike unit rather whilst also improve performance - less work for pilot to control wing and the cart
The setup and type of wings vary and one should study all of them to decide who makes the most stable wing against trade off for speed and light handling. Topless wings now latest rage..
Some wings are docile and need little manhandling, others are not for lazy flyers
Training /practice is the only way to learn how to fly and land your trike and in time you should be able to land dowmwind, crosswind, gusting and turbulant conditions - all require effort and concentration no matter what trike you fly
Stick with it and youll be rewarded with many hours of enjoyment

gazactly as described above - aid stability of the cart and improve directional control - incl on landing I guess...
Big G and Demon would best answer this from actual experience.
Mostly the spats were using without the tall fins are just for pretty really
