Trike Trailer

Hi guys,
I have been trying to get hold of a trike trailer at a decent price for a while now, with no success.
Thus decided to modify my quad trailer, I have identified the ramp as a problem, a winch will be needed etc.
The biggest issue I have is storing the wing. My idea would be to fix a tube to the trailer of suitable diameter and lenght, being in the building industry I am sure I can procure a suitable piece of pipe.
Can someone tell me what lenght and diameter would be ideal to hold an Aquilla II wing safely and snugly.
Any help, hints and ideas please.
Thanks

I don't know the dimension, best would be if you measure a folded up wing yourself. The pipe will probably offer good protection to the wing, but sliding the wing into and out of the tube could be tricky, and also cause damage. Maybe a half tube would be more suited, then you can lift the wing into and out of the tube. Weight might also be a consideration. You don't want your trailer to get too topheavy.

I have used a 300mm PVC Pipe for my topless Hang Glider and it worked fine except for a connection on the wing that caused dammage to the leading edge material.
The pipe is still at Aviators Paradise. Someone else uses it now since I fly the Atos.
In my opinion wings are best carried on a well padded roof carrier with a nose support.
There are also some suppliers that build boxes for the wings - some examples again at Aviatos Paradise. Aske anyone to see the HG storrage.
The trick with the round pipe is to have some ventelation holes in the front as the wing make an airlock in the tube and also to use Wynns Silicone spray on the tube.

I built my own trike trailer for little cost, to support my wing I use a ladder 16ft long sat on the rack on my trailer supports it very well.

Use a 300mm PVC pipe. The length will be determined by measuring your wings. Cut the pipe into two halves lengthwise (make sure you cut straight!). Use piano hinge to attach the two halves together on one side. Pop rivet the piano hinge with the sharp end of the pop rivets pointing outside (use pop rivets with a wide flange). You can use electric ties to keeep the tube closed when you're travelling. I used this method when I was hanggliding (in prehistoric times

) and it worked very well.

I have also been looking for trailer for long time now. If someone could post pictures or plans of a practical trike trailer, it would be appreciated. Decided to build my own.
