Installing a standby Electric Fuel Pump

I know trikes with over 500 hours and no problems with the mechanical pump.

I have bought that same facet pump from midas in Aliwal. The nr: 40242. The serial installation works just fine- tested it on ground and in flight. No evident loss off power if it is switched off. I only use mine for take-off, landings and lowflying. The diaphram pump dont seem to have any problem sucking through the other pump- I dont think there is much resistance. My installation is on a Rotax 582.

REDROMAN (not shouting) – these facet pumps are completely free flow in one direction. Your 15 litres per hour are easy. Your diaphragm pump will have no problem.

Arnulf uses 500+ kilograms of fuel to reach the holding point.

A while ago there was such congestion at the holding point at FAJS, that we ate into our final reserve fuel whilst taxiing. Had to return to the gate to refuel. Now explain that to your pax! In New York with the 747 we used up to 3000kg of fuel just to get to the holding point.
