I have seen two warp hubs that came of two Aquillas 582, the hubs both had cracks. After phoning around we heard of one more.
One belongs to Dawie du Toit of Rosslyn Micro flyers it only did 400 hours and the other one to Jacques Burger also from Rosslyn Micro flyers. Hours ???
Can anyone help me on this topic?
Will post some pictures.

Are the round plates that come with the Rotax geabox installed?
I've seen cracks in hubs many years back and Warp Dirve at that time confirmed that this plate must be used, it also states it in the installation instructions.
If I get digital pics, serial number of blades, hours used, etc, I will enquire with Warp Drive.

Here is two photos one with only the crack and one with a pencil line next to the crack. This is the most prominent crack but there is a few more. Al the crack is straight thru the aluminum.
Prop did 475 hours on a Aquilla 582 with e-box.
Like to see some pics if someone else also have some.

I checked our hub for cracks, but there aren't any. The cracks on my warp-drive is here at the root of one blade:

Hey guys, I picked up a hair crack on my warp drive next to the hub on the one blade. I have a 912 ul. Sent photos to warp drive in america to claim the "life long guarantee" to no avail. Eventually got a p-prop and works great!!

Seem to remeber a servise bulletin for warp drive hubs. I believe it was the two bladers being attached to Jabiru direct drives were grounded after cracks at 100 hours. Crack position was similar to the first pictures.

I have seen cracks on the hub, but in this case no crush plate was used -
Presently I am training with a warp drive ex 503 and now on a 582 .
One of our students lost a helmet through a warp drive a few years ago, Warp is still flying , our cfi HAD A STUDENT ROLL A TRIKE AND THE WARP CUT THE WINGS FLYING WIRES - wARP IS STILL BEING USED - I will probably not recogmend a wooden prop due to the maintanance , sanding , sealing , leading edge repair , oil and moisture saturation balancing as well as tracking.
Fit a composite and read fitting instructions and you will fly for many hours trouble free .
A good one to try is the local NC prop , well made , very strong and efficient - the Russion aeros is most efficient , but least stone friendly .
A composite is pretty maintanance free -
