Oil thermostat Rotax 912

Postby Arnulf » Thu Sep 21, 2006 3:40 pm

Does anybody have experience with an oil thermostat on the Rotax 912?
How effective is it?

Arnulf that's the way to go. No warm-ups that take forever, and you don't have to stop enroute to take off covers from the cooler as it becomes warmer. Your temp is always constant.

Should you be interested I do have a new one that is spare. PM me.

We have one fitted to an A-22 Foxbat with the 100hp Rotax. Works very well. We normally have to tape of a big section of the oil cooler, esp. in the winter. Now it runs steady oil temps in all conditions.
