On my recent trip to FAKD I was asked by Chris van Eden the local WCM instructor when last I had my 2 stroke pump calibrated on my Aquilla 582. To be quite honest I have never thought about it. This probably have been mentioned many times before somewhere on the Forum. Can anyone please tell me the who what where and how regular this must be done and is it worth it or probably safer to self premix. When I did my training the flight Schools trikes mixing was done by the 2 stroke pump and those Trikes do a lot of hours??????

Wingover, I think the more technically inclined guys should answer here, but I never heard of this calibration in all the time I flew a 582.
I checked in the Rotax manual and all I could find is of 2 marks that should line up with the throttle in the idle position.
These marks are on the pump's throttle lever and on the pump itself, right next to the lever's shaft.

Keep it simple... Remove and pre-mix. Know your 2 stroke is enough. Gives me peace of mind...
