2 Stroke ??

Postby Thunderboy » Thu Jun 29, 2006 4:09 pm

Okay some of you might think I'm really dumb - but I admit I'm not much of a mechanic.

So question,

while driving to the airfield the other morning I noticed I was low on petrol in my car, anyway I had enough to get to a petrol station and fill up, but I was wondering if I were to run out and I had a can of fuel mixed with 2 stroke 1:50 in my car for the aerie & were to use a minimal amount in my car to get to a petrol station would it cause damage to the cars engine :?:

NO. The petrol is petrol, the oil you added, will burn. might smoke a wee bit if you put the whole 25 litres in, but moenie worrie, she will run.

If you might have a bottle of Bells it should also work and might even be cheaper.

I do it all the time when my petrol is getting to about 4 weeks old dont even see any smoke from the car, my car is not fitted with a cat so I would look into that further if you have a cat.

What!!! -xX Bennie that's blasphemy. Here in Cape Town you get arrested for that. Leave the car by the roadside, put the Bells in your back pocket and walk the rest of the way.
