hey all

I purchased a www.rotax-owner.com subscription and have access to ALL the videos on the Rotax engines, from the bulletins to how to service the engines, and setup the carbs, replace fuel pumps, how to change oil CORRECTLY - how and when to check oil levels -- what oils to use, carb rebuilds, crank checks, magnetic plug inspections, TBO inspections, carb synchronisation etc etc etc

one thing I can tell you is that if any of you are checking your oil when the engine is cold, you are doing it wrong --- you are supposed to check your oil when the engine is warm at operating temperatures. the best time to check oil level is when you have landed after each flight, and not before you take off as a pre-flight check.
