*1. How about fitting a reserve tank facility as a standard in fuel tanks like the ones you find with motor cycles on all flying contraptions.

*2. Can't a better safety belt system be fitted as a standard to all micro lights?

*3. Can't the ware of helmets be made legislation to fly micro lights?

Make em cheaper and go faster     8)
Seriously

Std electric wing trim systems
Hand throttles
Pods and aeroscreens
Good lights and beacons (flashers)
Better keels on trike wings
Hand and feet off landing ability
Double main flyng wires on all trikes or struts if topless
Decent shocks all round
Trailing link front ends with damped suspensions (self centering)
Winglets on main wheels to stabalise trike unit and wing tips
Ballistic chutes designed in from day one, not fitted afterthoughts

and finally

make em cheaper and go faster     8)

To encourage Rotax, HKS and others to bring out 503's and 582 turbo charged motors so we don't have to lose power in Gauteng and therefore not need the added weight of a larger motor - objective is NOT power but altitude compensation!!!

Turbo diesel motor 8) - Probably vibrate the wing off

How about a small onboard toolkit as standard issue with all trykes, including tyre leavers for Chaz.

What do you guys think of fitting all trykes with a belly skid plate that go with a curve angle up to center of wheel height of the back wheels that when the back wheels might get caught up in wires, it might slide across the belly of the tryke? It should also extend towards the back just passed the prop between prop to ground clearance so the prop can also clear.

Probably cause a lot of additional drag and also alter the a/c flight charactersistics by acting as a "wing"..... . it would also have to be pretty robust so would also increase the weight. Your wheels would still be the lowest part of the a/c and thus snag the wires regardless....

It would probably be safer just to ensure that your flying choices avoid the wires in the first place or cross them with sufficent altitude to clear them in the event of an e/o; as with or without the plate, you will have an immenant appointment with the ground!! Just my 2 cents worth!!

True, but I like to look at worse case scenario when looking at safety. So if they use maybe a light weight aluminum pipe instead of a plate, you might reach the goal.
