What is this

This is attach to a used 503. This device attached to the magneto end starter.
It seems faulty and i like to replace it. Any idea where i can find it?

If it is connected to the starter then it is the Solenoid, i.e. the relay for the starter.

Effectively you use a light current, i.e. a thin wire from the starter switch to enable the solenoid. The solenoid then uses a thick plate to connect the two fat wires together and the starter turns. A normal starter/ignition switch can never handle the high current the starter motor draws

Try any Midas shop.

I had the same problem on my windlass wen we fit n starter , ja the blerriesollenooi dont work so i go to grobbies scrapjaard in Warmbad en buy one from n old ford escort kArretjie for cheap and it work well willempie
