diameter of Rotax 582 exhaust outlet pipe

Postby zoobie » Thu Sep 13, 2012 4:25 pm

greetings fellow aviators.

I need to route the exhaust fumes away from my cowl, so I need to fit a 90 degree extension pipe.

I don't have my new exhaust yet, so can't measure (its on order with Rotax) but I need to start getting all the bits and pieces together.

Can someone please tell me what the outside diameter is of the little extension pipe coming out of the silencer?

thanks for your assistance

Joe

Zoobie, use the outer pipe from an old shock absorber to make your outlet pipe, it is thin wall, therefore very light . (!!)
