Hey All

I am looking for Plastic welders int he Westrand JHB area. I have some cracks in a fuel tank that i need to have somebody look at.

Gavin,

Was that fuel tank used for clean petrol or mixed with 2 stroke, if mixed throw it away and get another tank. Been their done that and got the t-shirt, plastic welding does not work then specially on a two stroke with the vibrations it keeps on leaking and cracking.

Was hoping i could get my 60L tank sorted for Numbi - would have made life so much easier, now got to do 6 fuel stops instead of 4

Gavin, I will post this on open forum for all that may need this service. I own the tooling for a injection moulded cap that is attached to a roto moulded bottle, this is used for a cooling suit water bottle. 80 mm in diameter, it may be fitted to a simple roto moulded jig. Simply weld up a square or odd shape or whatever or whatever, attach the threaded neck with a simple clamp and it may be moulded to suit. Ideal for low volumes of product. My Problem is the Tank has cracks in and I need the cracks fixed.
Although this is a good Idea and i can use it to make the small tank it will not work for the larger tank.

But will keep this in mind when doing the tank for the Long EZ.
